us the tasty soba within a couple of
minutes
after we order. Once we decide to make Soba at home,it's not fast-food any more. We need a lot of time boiling a roaf of pork, make good delicious soup,prepare the vegitables,etc. It is worth to call slow-food. We could see,Okinawa soba is "Make-slow & Eat-fast Food",don't we? In this way, okinawa soba is the best food contain the harmony of quality/taste and value/casual. In the beautiful spring day, let's go out for the noodle shop.But,never drop in somewhere and waste your time befor eat. Popular soba-shops close early on sold out! |

When I feel the gentle,Spring breeze,I will
get to wanna dance! The long,chilly and rainy winter is almost over. I feel like work out and go out for dancing. In my youth,I often go to the Disco with my friends and had good times.Dancing is very effective to enhance our great feeling. At the present time,I still like dancing and even eager to challenge a dance school. Too late? |

Few days ago,I've seen the NGO group's supporting
activities in south america. The members are the indivisual professonals on environments,agricultures,medical,etc from Japan. They are supporting the people lives along the tropical river which is facing the crisis of loosing the natural world by chopping down of trees. The supporting members truly worth to respect. This is about time we have to think deeply about save the natural world. Actually,I feel reflection myself. |

...Thinking of you at Chrismas, and hoping your holidays are trimmed with joy.(somebody wrote)... Here in Okinawa,the winter seems went somewhere else! It is really hot winter so we could never be able to start seasonal change of clothes. However, at our heart, here comes very beautiful holly winter with the illuminations in the town, the christmas tree decorated beautifuly in a living room. In any weather,the markets are crowded with the foods,goods,and the people. Let's enjoy the end of year shopping. Happy holidays! |

Every year, we got "cultural day"as
one of the national holiday on Nov.3rd. Here in our town Shuri, "Shuri Cultural Festival" is held through the day. This festival is the most famous cultural event in Okinawa. The parade at the main street is wonderful. Old Ryukyuan King and Queen,and others with beautiful costumes are on the parade starts from Shuri castle. Traditional "hatagashira" ,"eisa-dance", and many other kind of atractions are appeared. Especially, the 400 years traditional "shishimai(shishi-dog dancing)" from Tera-cho is the highlight of the parade. My children also act as the "shishi-dog" actually. In fact, thousands of people are fascinated with those performances every time. Truly, I am very proud of our town and culture (and my kids!). Kyoko Nakamoto |

In a early fall,breeze is getting more gentle
and it reminds us of the gathering
together
and have some nice fiest and drink. After a long time,why don't we, the girl friends from highschool days get together and have a TEA PARTY!? Sweets, always heal us and take us to our schooldays. Chattering with having sweets always pleasure for us. However,we are not girls anymore."Afternoon Tea Party" getting change into "Cooktail Party" before we knows! Toast to our friendship! |

In the art world, new season starts
at September every year.After summer
closing
days, galleries in NYC starts showing
new
works by big artists all at once.Every
night,the
opening reception is held with visitors
in
each gallery. One day,at my group show's opening reception,I see the man who certainly had been in a same gallery where my another group show was held a couple of years before.As everybody know,he is one of who called "sean person"on gallery openings.He talks.eats,and drink freely.I asked his job, he said "I am poet". I understand everything clearly!Attending gallery openings is the most important job for him.Because, all the poets will be able to make a beautiful poetry after enjoyed the wonderful paintings... |
