Dining out is very fancy to do but cooking at home would be more enjoyable.Let's go to the market and for hunt the foods, wines. Nice table wears that we never touche are stocked in the shelf.Let's get them out and use on the table more casually.Family and friends gatherings are so nice in this season. Happy holidays.

We feel that the air in the morning is cooler,Sunset time seems getting more earlier. According the harvests are greater in this season, wines and other spirits would be more delicious.The time to have a casual party with good feast and wines! Otherwise,It is a nice season to have Winery Tour.Actually I've been considering to have those kind of tours with girl friends on any country they offer nice wines and foods.Doesn't it sound great?Who wanna join in?

Some of those could not help with the meteorological reason or the giographical reason,Hoewver,the most tragic reason is the war,and poverty.The beautiful historical structures are destroyed,people sell the ouw lands or own national treasures to the another countries,ingratiate themselves with a rising nations for only a few dacade's welfare. What is the true happiness for us? It is a time to consider this theme more seriously. After all,this must be a good way that we cultivate lands and gain the food from there, thank to the great oceans on all sides and make a good catch.We must live in our own way and appreciate for our nature. In these ways,it must bring us the eternal rich foundation to proud of. On this secure base,we could grow more of our own culture.Music, arts,whatever.People could express everything with the beautiful impressions in our peaceful country. Wishing to have the eternal cultural land with beauty,joy, and want to live and enjoy like every alleys will be full of music.
2008/8		Boats  acrylic on canvas 33.3cm×24.2cm Also available Fine-art-printsR126	On the recent trip to NY,we resereved the tickets for the Circleline cruise around the the New York Harbor.We saw a beautiful skyline and a famous skyscraper from our seat on the ship.We feel the exhilaration and thrill of discovering the big city and even it's such a really soulful experience for us. However,the problem is the oil prices rising. Those curuising tickets prices are rising,too.But it's ok,it's just a recreation.The seamen are badly hit by oil price raising. It is serious problem and we have to try to find a way out of those problems soon. We hope we could live more simple with no fossil fuel. By the way,it is a boat just floating on the pond with no oils. Nah, I know it is just for fun.

Every beaches along west coast are crowded with the people wearing colorful swim suits (I know I have to make more effort to be fit my suim suits more beautifuly,may be next year..) and the every dive sites shows the most beautiful, clear view underwater. Many SCUBA classes offer PADI certification via a wide variety of courses in the Island,so a lot of scuba divers gathers here from all over the world. What we should do is to conserve our beautiful sea as the most precious natural-resources. Enjoy your summer!
2008/6		Dragon Boat2 acrylic on canvas 33.3cm×24.2cm Also available Fine-art-printsR120	As everybody know with the name called Dragon Boat, Hari-boat(sabani)race is one of the most traditional event especially for the fishermen throughout Okinawa in the early summer season. Hari had came from China during the era of the Ryukyu Kingtom and it's for wishing whole fishermen's luck and safe fishing.Nowadays,each festivals got more various kind of colorful boats and racers like students team,wemens team,and much more. At the every location of the festival,audiences could enjoy concerts,foods and fireworks as well. In 13th century,at the Ryutan pond of the Shuri Castle,The king of Ryukyu entertained the messengers from China with Dragon Boat on the pond, remaining on the old documents. Isn't it so exciting if the hari-boats on the ryutan pond restored in today?

Okinawan tempra is a little bit different from mainland's one.Our tempra have very thick coating made with flour and egg.Vegetables and sweet potatoes are good materials as well as Fish,cuttlefish. Tmpra shop could be found easily around the town.It's also good for pot-luck party and gatherings. We really want to have every kinds but have to be careful about calories!

It seems very enjoyable that the people get together under the cherry tree and having food and drink sake in the night. It is just out of my imagination but how about this, isn't it more fun if there are a tiny hot spring under the cherry tree?

2008/2		Making Rice-cakes acrylic on canvas 27.3cm×22cm (private collection) Also available Fine-art-printsR104	As a Okinawan tradition,we make"Muchi",a type of rice cake on every Dec.8th according to the old calender. It's for driving away our unluck and wishing for the familie's health(especialy for the children). "Muchi"is basicly made from rice cake powder,water and sugar kneaded and wraped in a shellflower leaf.After they steamed,the kitchen will be filled with a wonderful aroma and that smells spread even over on the street. The day we make "Muchi" is usually very cold day, but the moment we start eating it, the day change into the hot and warm day. Enjoy"Muchi".

After a hard trecking, soon we could reach the beautiful view point of pinky blossoms, and blue sea. A new year has started. Maybe we should appreciate for each of us keep our health and peace.
