As the people knows, the cultures on Okinawa
is diffierent from other place in Japan. Mostly the okinawan cultures are based on Chinese cultures . We could find the special colors,desighes on this beautiful southern island Okinawa. The Ryukyu's Kimono is known as the most beautiful dress in okinawa. Nowaday, we also enjoy to wear these special kimonos at the cultural festivals as costumes. The young lady selected as a princess of the festival sometimes wear those kimonos with honor. The middle aged women look also great in these kimonos. Okinawan kimono, most suitable for okinawan ladies,we believe. |

restaurant which have a good reputation. It contains the greatest chef and other staffs who deeply love to work with food. They provide us the unforgettable taste and great services. People swear, keep their health and live with thiese restaurant... Mostly,the great chef looks like very shy, or we sometimes meet the energetic powerful chef with a lot of hospitality. The great chef, the most respectable artist in the world. |

Shopping for the new years eve. Browsing the fresh foods is the best moment for the house wives and would takes a long time. We once decided to make traditional okinawan noodle with juicy polk lib .But "look at these fresh chinese noodle!"we could easily change mind to purchase the chinese style polk loaf . And at the frish shop,we could never stop buying fresh sea foods(salmon,scarop,etc). Finally,our shopping bags get to be full of vegetables,meat,fish and other kind of foods just like the buyer from the restaurant. Who remember,I am on a diet? A happy new year!! |

A holiday at the townhouse in down town. People living in the house get together for taking a late lunch,chatting,etc. This is sometimes very nice way spending weekends than going out to the crowded holiday resort. I love my firmily, I love this town, this house, and these neighbors. That's what I'm here for. Happy Holidays! |

In the downtown,Manhattan.We can find the
old and beautiful buildings while we
take a walk around below 14th.st, mostly
at Greenwich village and SOHO area. We can also touch a little drama in the noisy streets. Lovers are hugging in front of the flower shop, the gallery director's taking a look at slides by new artist and talking with him.etc. People living in the old building seems the happiest of the world. Nothing would be a problem except the old buildings trouble like slow elevator and terrible waterworks. This is NY! |

Nowadays, we can easily purchase the clothes
in any style and they are not so expensive.We also enjoy to check the frag shop by the famous designer and love to buy one of his(her) new collection line in every season.(of course it's expensive!) Sometimes, we'd rather want to get something different. In the small dress maker shop around the corner,we can see the beautiful cloths colorfuly pile in heaps. Old lady,the professhonal dress maker sew the dress silently in the center of the shop. We believe,we could be able to get something special and perfectly original styled dress only in her shop. |

n the FISH SHOP around the corner,we can
find bright green, red and blue colored marine
products. Fresh sashimi is really delicious
and we could also enjoy the rich flavored
soup made from the fish bone. In Okinawa, people usualy like to have fish than meat. They say, that is one of the reason living long to a great age. |

Nowadays,the concrete house is the most popular
structure in Okinawa.Those houses are strong
and always safe from typhoon. The concrete houses are often painted colorfully by the house owner and a color scheme sometimes looks like the MIAMI art deco buildings. I love Okinawan concrete house as much as the traditional Red-tile roofed house. |

Poor Cows! It looks the people left the "STEAK restaurant" and forget to eat delicious beef steak dinner nowadays. The great paformance by the chef of "Benihana" style restaurant is very enjoyable for us.They often try to throw and catch the knives, salt&pepper shakers. Their actions are admirable and little bit fearful for the guests. It's about time we try to have wonderful steak dinner. |

Everybody goes to be a critic having "soba".SOBA-guide book (published by the Okinawan publisher) is very useful than [Zagat]magazine! In the new year's eve,family get together and cook Soba with each family's recepies and enjoy having delicious Soba.This is the traditional style of new year's eve in Japan, also in Okinawa.
